Cleopatra’s Barge opened in September 1970 in what is now the Nobu Hotel tower, replacing the earlier Nero’s Nook lounge. The 180-seat lounge featured as its centerpiece a “floating” stage designed as a replica of the vessel aboard which the Egyptian queen is said to have bewitched Mark Antony.
The pleasure craft, installed in a shallow lagoon, featured a gold-painted, topless figurehead that extended far into the public walkway. Guests quickly turned rubbing the statue’s golden breasts for luck into a classic Vegas tradition; staff regularly repainted the most-touched areas.
Vital Vegas ranked the display No. 4 on his 2014 list of “10 Things You Can Rub for Good Luck in Las Vegas Without Getting Arrested,” a list that featured three other Caesars Palace entries: the hand of the Caesars statue (No. 1); Joe Louis’s boxing gloves (No. 8); and the toe of Michelangelo’s David replica (No. 9).

Play’n GO frames each feature as having a defined role within that system. “Each feature in Triple Beasts of Fortune has a clear identity,” said Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO. “Upgrade changes the Bison, Expand opens the grid and Multiplier brings x2 and x3 Multiplier Wilds into play. That comment underlines the studio’s intent. Distinct, legible mechanics that combine into escalating outcomes, a design philosophy Play’n GO has increasingly leaned on to differentiate titles within saturated themes.
For operators, the value is a slot that carries a well-trodden theme but a more flexible bonus proposition than most buffalo-style games, giving players several routes into the feature set. Triple Beasts of Fortune is out now.

The new monkeys are animatronic. As shown in the video, they’re capable of moving their faces and bodies in menacing ways as they pass overhead during the witch’s attack. They also seem to be hanging from an overhead line, though the Sphere has not officially described the new flight system.
Smell is the quietest upgrade but may be the most powerful. (Scent anchors memories more strongly than any other sense.) The new Oz adds more scents timed to scene changes. Expect the room to smell different when Kansas gives way to Oz, when the orchard turns hostile, and when the poppy field knocks everyone out.
The original production already dropped artificial snow when Glinda broke the poppy spell. “Glinda’s Glitter” is the sparkle equivalent of that idea: a visible shower of goodness.
